OK 2nd Debate 10-16-12

I’ll Sleep Better tonight

Like most people   [political junkies or not],   who watched the debate tonight, one can almost hear that gentle sigh of relief roll over the  land.  .  by God, he came through.  Not that I was thrilled with it at all, but our president stood like a man, faced this  difficult task  and made us all proud.

It must be hard to stand there, shake hands, pull ones muscles into a smile and carry on like business as usual when there  obviously is no love lost between these two men.  Though Obama is a brilliant orator, charming masses by the millions,  he very much doesn’t like to debate, so we are told.  I didn’t know that. Thought he did OK with Clinton.  Tonight he brought it home.

Caught comments from the politicos including the panel who showed on Charlie Rose – – all people I enjoy and like.  All felt the dislike between the men was so intense and hostile that some worried that it could become  physical.   Those were not my thoughts at the time.  Funny, I was actually pleased to see Obama in no mood to take the abuse that Romney is so capable of dishing out.  He is rude and so disrespectful of this man who is our president.   And I personally intensely dislike all that Romney stands for; his lack of core beliefs, his flip-flopping,  lying and deceitful ways, and all the little ways he has of telling us in his own words – just what he really thinks of the rest of humanity who isn’t part of his clan.   The “elitist, oligarchical”  thing is a huge turn-off for me.  I can see why the Koch brothers want him enthroned, but don’t get why anybody else would even give him a second thought.   Such is life.  This is what makes the world go around isn’t it – – we are all so different and yet, so much alike.
