Ketogenic Diet May Be Key to Cancer Recovery
Doctor Stops Eating This – Starves Cancer and Escapes Death
Preparing to die when he heard of this eating plan, he had nothing to lose so he gave it a try, and… it worked. The cancer disappeared completely and he’s been cancer-free for over a year. The secret: don’t just eat superfoods, eliminate the most the most dangerous culprits first…
- Many cancer patients have reportedly overcome the disease by adopting a ketogenic diet, which calls for eliminating carbohydrates, replacing them with healthy fats and protein
- Animal studies have shown that mice fed a carb-free diet survived highly aggressive metastatic cancer even better than those treated with chemotherapy
- Your normal cells have the metabolic flexibility to adapt from using glucose to using ketone bodies. Cancer cells lack this metabolic flexibility, so when you eliminate carbs, which turn into sugar, you effectively starve the cancer
- Eating fat is NOT bad for your heart. Particularly beneficial fats include coconut oil, butter, organic pastured eggs, avocado and raw nuts. Most people need as much as 50-70 percent healthful fat in their diet to optimize health
Current conventional cancer treatment typically involves chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Chemotherapy is a cytotoxic poison, and radiation is devastating to the human body. More often than not, the treatment is what eventually kills the patient. This can no longer be accepted as “the best we can do.” As Dr. Seyfried says:
“The reason why we have so few people surviving is because of the standard of care. It has to be changed, if it’s not changed, there will be no major progress. Period.”
(My comment: My own husband died in 1991 with brain cancer. It was quick from discovery to death. He died alone in the VA hospital – his choice, not wanting to burden me with his ongoing care. (We had been divorced maybe 12 years.) He had been living with me for a number of months, so I had two people in wheel chairs for that time.
As he weakened and became even more incapacitated, he asked to be transferred to the VA there in Los Angeles. It wasn’t my choice for him. I worked full time and also had full care of my mother, so perhaps it was nothing more than his need for more than what I was able to provide to him. But when he died a few months later – alone, I went into grief mode, for two years, . . even now it still hurts to think of him transitioning alone – but that’s my sorrow. I wasn’t there for him. [just a stream-of-consciousness kind of writer - sorry]
I just wanted to confide that I am somewhat rattled at the moment, because I have listened to the doctor in this video present a most remarkable case for what “ketones” are able to do with regard to this cruel killer of some of the best among us. It would be the height of ignorance to refute what appears to be facts and reality before one’s own eyes. In the past I have judgmentally deemed plans like the Atkins Diet to be so clearly incorrect! Now this. I have some soul-searching and re-evaluating coming up. [devoted as I am to the plant kingdom for sustenance. And the fact that it seems to be working for me, and thousands of others.]
One cannot refute the science of this and I am frankly ecstatic to see acceptance growing for the body’s need for all the ‘good fats’ it can get [and the really big variety of those so-called fatty foods like avocado, seeds and nuts]. I will not however, lower my own personal standards of free-range animals as the only ones from which I wish to choose. Toxic is still toxic. Genetically modified anything is still GMO, ergo, unproven, unsafe and highly dangerous. Modern factory farming has lowered the standard of health in our land more than any other factor, and all in the name of the common good – being able to generate more, cheaper food for the masses. ALL SOY and CORN is GMO and is in practically all prepared or packaged food of any description – and is a threat to health.
Once again, I would like to thank Dr Mercola for his commitment to always bringing the best and most helpful information to all of us in service to humanity and for the purpose of upliftment. I would like to suggest that you not only listen to and watch this video, but glean extra benefit from absorbing the article as it flows down the page with one more enlightening fact after another. The doctor’s delivery was fairly technical and not always easy for laymen to follow. But he got the job done and hooked me.
While paging downward, please do stop at the smaller video much below which seems to show many proteins, oil and so on. Watch it! Both these videos blow up to full screen size (you probably knew that), loved this video as it was practically and visually helpful. Conversation ensues between two people on this very subject. Loved it! They go on to speak of Dr.Hatfield – - he is the Doctor who survived brain cancer with this procedure. He is shown at home with his wife and they dialogue about their experience and way of eating, etc. Can learn a few things here. Dr Hatfield was one of my son’s original mentors – they go back quite a few years to the Wright center in California when they were working with Lyle Alzado, preparing him to re-enter football the second time around,. . . remember it still.
