More Radioactivity? gotta be kidding!

(From Dr Mercola –  – an alert to one horrendous plan from the Department of Energy on one of our planet’s big problems; we can just spread it around  (lightly) with a little here and a little there in all kinds of places.  That way, our problem goes away. . . .  ya really think?    Folks, you so  DO NOT HAVE MY VOTE!    If this is the best DOE can come up with – Fire them!  . . and start over with people who want to “serve” people’s needs.     Jan)

DOE Submits Plan to Recycle Radioactive

Waste into Consumer Goods

DOE Submits Plan to Recycle Radioactive Waste into Consumer Goods
If this new government proposal is accepted, your eyeglasses, surgical implants, stainless steel water bottle and more could potentially be made from recycled radioactive waste.

Story at-a-glance

  • The Department of Energy (DOE) has released a proposal that would allow nearly 14,000 tons of radioactive metals to be recycled for use in consumer goods
  • The proposal would modify an existing suspension to allow scrap metals from radiological areas to be released to private industry to be used for any purpose, including recycling
  • The DOE’s proposal would only add to the growing amount of radioactive scrap metal already circulating globally, contributing to increasing “background” levels of radiation exposure that have been linked to cancer, cataracts, birth defects and more
